Wootic Migration

Updated on February 9, 2026

If you previously used the Wootic plugin to connect WooCommerce with Mautic, the migration tool can import your old settings into Mautic Integration for WooCommerce. This saves you from having to re-enter your Mautic URL, credentials, and sync preferences manually.

How It Works

The old Wootic plugin stored its settings as individual WordPress options in the database, each using the prefix mautic_woocommerce_settings_. The migration tool scans for these options and maps them into the new plugin’s single-option settings format.

What Gets Migrated

The following settings are imported during migration:

  • Mautic URL – Your Mautic instance server address.
  • Credentials – Your Mautic username and password. The password is encrypted using AES-256-CBC encryption during import.
  • Order Sync settings – Includes whether the API was enabled, partial status syncing, custom field options, notes, tags, tag formatting with order IDs, general tags, and SKU filters.
  • Contact Sync settings – Includes phone number syncing and billing information syncing preferences.

The migration also automatically enables the Order Sync module, since the original Wootic plugin was focused on order syncing.

Running the Migration

  1. Go to WooCommerce > Mautic Integration > Tools.
  2. At the top of the page, the Legacy Settings row will show either “Old Wootic settings detected” or “No legacy settings found.”
  3. If legacy settings are detected, click the Migrate Now button.
  4. A confirmation message will appear showing how many settings were migrated.

Your old Wootic settings remain in the database after migration. They are not modified or deleted. If the migration has already been completed, the button label changes to Re-run Migration and a note appears showing “(Already migrated).”

Cleaning Up Old Settings

After you have verified that the migration was successful and your connection is working correctly, you can remove the old Wootic settings from the database:

  1. Verify your Mautic connection works by going to the Connection tab and running a connection test.
  2. Return to the Tools tab.
  3. Click the Delete Old Wootic Settings button.
  4. A confirmation message will show how many old settings were deleted.

This action is permanent. The old Wootic option entries are removed from the WordPress database and cannot be recovered. Only run this step after confirming that your migrated settings are working correctly.

No Legacy Settings Found

If you are a new user who never installed the Wootic plugin, the Tools tab will display “No legacy settings found” and the migration and cleanup buttons will not be shown. No action is needed on your part.
