Contact Sync

Updated on February 9, 2026

This section covers syncing your WooCommerce customers to Mautic as contacts. Contact Sync is the foundation for building segments, sending targeted emails, and tracking customer behavior inside Mautic.

What Contact Sync Does

When Contact Sync is enabled, the plugin automatically sends customer data from WooCommerce to your Mautic instance. Each WooCommerce user becomes a contact in Mautic, with their name, email, billing address, phone number, and any tags you configure. If a contact already exists in Mautic with the same email address, the plugin updates that contact rather than creating a duplicate.

Key Features

  • Automatic sync on user registration, customer creation, and profile updates
  • Bulk sync to send all existing customers to Mautic at once
  • Default tags applied to every synced contact for easy segmentation
  • Registration consent checkbox so customers can opt in to marketing
  • Subscribe forms via shortcode for newsletter signups on any page
  • Form capture to silently collect emails from existing forms on your site
  • Billing data and phone number sync with individual on/off controls
  • Lifetime value fields including total spent and order count

Where to Find the Settings

Navigate to WooCommerce > Mautic Integration in your WordPress admin and click the Contact Sync tab. All settings described in this section are located on that tab.
