These logs capture internal operations, API communication details, warnings, and errors that help with advanced troubleshooting.

Where to Find the Logs

In WordPress, go to WooCommerce > Status.

Click the Logs tab.

Look for log files with the source name
mautic-integration-woocommerce
.

You can also reach this page directly from the Tools tab by clicking the View Logs button in the Logs section.

Logging Levels

The plugin supports two logging modes that control how much information is written to the logs:

Normal Mode (Default)

In normal mode, the plugin only logs entries at the warning level and above. This includes warnings, errors, critical errors, and emergency messages. Routine operations like successful API calls are not logged. This keeps the log files small and focused on problems that need attention.

Debug Mode

When debug mode is enabled, the plugin logs everything, including all API requests sent to Mautic and the responses received. This is the most detailed logging level and captures debug, info, notice, warning, and error messages.

Debug mode is helpful when you need to see exactly what data the plugin is sending to Mautic, or when you want to confirm that API calls are being made at the right times. It is also useful for identifying issues with specific API responses from your Mautic instance.

Enabling Debug Mode

Go to WooCommerce > Mautic Integration > Connection.

Check the box labeled Debug Mode.

Click Save Changes.

Once enabled, the plugin will immediately begin writing detailed log entries for all operations. You can view these entries by navigating to the WooCommerce Logs page as described above.

When to Disable Debug Mode

Debug mode generates a large volume of log data, especially on stores with frequent orders or active abandoned cart tracking. It is recommended to keep debug mode turned off during normal operation and only enable it temporarily when investigating a specific issue. Once you have collected the information you need, return to the Connection tab and uncheck Debug Mode to reduce log file size and improve performance.

Fallback Logging

If WooCommerce logging is not available for any reason, the plugin falls back to writing log entries to the PHP error log. In this case, you would find log entries in your server’s PHP error log file instead of the WooCommerce Logs page. The Tools tab will show a notice if WooCommerce logging is not available.

In addition to the Sync Log, the plugin writes detailed log entries to the WooCommerce logging system.
